Woman conspires with lover in Bhubaneswar, brands children with iron rod as they find her in compromising position

Bhubaneswar: In an inhumane act, a woman conspired to iron brand her children at the hands of her lover when they protested her extra-marital affair. This unpleasant incident occurred in Mahabir slum of Mairtribihar area in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

According to sources, the woman was engaged in extra-marital love affair despite having her husband. Her children finding her in compromising position protested against it. Feeling threatened by her son and daughter, the woman conspired with her lover and locked her children in a room and iron branded them at the hands of her lover not once or twice but for three days.

Due to the pain and burn marks on their bodies, which was unattended, the children did not go to school or to play outside. Not being able to see the children, the neighbours enquired and rescued the children.

Police detained the woman and issued a manhunt to nab the accused lover.
