Woman arrested with Mahua liquor
Raigarh. The woman has been arrested. According to the information, police station in-charge Bhupdevpur Inspector Ramkinkar Yadav received information from the informer about Padmavati Sahu, a woman of village Doomarpali, going to buy Mahua liquor for illegal sale. The police station in-charge, who had immediately left for the village tour, was directed to take action. Woman Padmavati, husband Sudama Sahu, aged 50 years, resident of village Doomarpali police station Bhudevpur, near village Doomarpali Basti, has been caught by the team of Bhupdevpur police bringing Mahua liquor for illegal sale in a plastic jar inside a bag.
About 9 liters of Mahua liquor worth ₹ 900 was found in two plastic jars of five liter capacity from the accused Padmavati Sahu. On the actions of the accused Padmavati Sahu, the Bhupdevpur police have taken action under crime number 48/2024, section 34(2), 59(a) of the Excise Act and have sent the accused on judicial remand. Head constable Shambhu Pandey, constable Bodharam Sidar, Vijay Kumar Patel, Krishna Kumar Warren, lady constable Gauri Sidar were involved in the liquor raid proceedings.
