Wife did not give a glass of water, victim of murder

Janjgir. Police have arrested the accused in two separate murder cases in Sakti district. Weapons have also been recovered from the accused. The case is of village Chikhli Kaka and Kurda of Malkharoda police station area. In the first case, the accused killed the man on suspicion of having an illicit relationship with his wife. In the second case, the husband brutally murdered his wife for not giving him water to drink.

The first case is of Kurda village, where Kiran Jangde, wife of deceased Saukhilal Jangde, had lodged a police report of her husband’s disappearance on June 23. Kiran Jangde had told that her husband had gone with Amarjeet Banjare of the same village. He did not return home after that. Police interrogated Amarjeet Banjare (30) by taking him into police custody. The accused confessed to the murder. Accused Amarjeet told that Saukhilal used to talk to his wife. Due to which he took Saukhilal to a deserted place and attacked him with a stone on his head. Then he sat on her chest and strangled her to death.

The accused took the body to another village and hid it. The body was recovered at the point of view of the accused. The body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem. A murder case was registered against the accused at Malkharoda police station and he was arrested and sent on judicial remand. The second incident is from Chikhli village, where the accused husband Chandrashekhar Bhardwaj asked his wife for a glass of water to drink. Angered by not giving water, the husband attacked his wife with a shovel kept in the house. The wife died due to the lethal attack. The police have arrested the accused.
