When is Narasimha Jayanti, know the auspicious time and method of worship

New Delhi: The festival of Narasimha Jayanti is celebrated on Chaturdashi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. According to religious belief, Lord Vishnu, the creator of the world, took the incarnation of Narasimha to save his devotee Prahlad from the demon Hiranyakashyap. On this special date, there is a tradition to do special worship of Lord Narasimha ji. It is believed that worshiping the Lord removes the sorrows and pain of life. Narasimha Jayanti 2024 date and auspicious time
According to the Hindu calendar, the Chaturdashi tithi of Vaishakh Shukla Paksha will start on 21st May at 05:39 PM and will end on the next day i.e. 22nd May 2024 at 06:47 PM. On Narasimha Jayanti, there is a tradition to worship Lord Narasimha in the evening. On this day you can do the puja between 04:24 pm to 07:09 pm.

On the day of Narasimha Jayanti, wake up in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes.
After this offer water to Lord Sun.
Clean the temple and purify it by sprinkling Ganga water.
Now place the idol of Lord Narasimha ji on the post and take a pledge to fast.
Offer sweets, fruits, saffron, flowers and kumkum to God.
Light a ghee lamp and chant aarti and mantras.
At the end, offer special things and distribute Prasad among the people.
Donate food and clothes to poor people as per your devotion.
