When he did not give money for liquor, the son killed his father with an axe

Mahoba. Angered by not giving money to drink liquor, the son killed his father by attacking him with an axe. On receiving information about the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Satyam, Police Area Officer Charkhari Ravikant Gaur and Police Station Head Kharela reached the spot and investigated, formed teams and arrested the attacker.

Inderpal Sahu (52), son of Swamidin Sahu, resident of village Patha of Kharela police station, used to sleep in the animal shed due to fear of his son being an alcoholic. Due to Akhilesh being addicted to alcohol, he used to harass his father every day. On Wednesday night, he was sleeping in his cattle shed, when Akhilesh reached there with an ax and started demanding money for liquor, when his father refused to give money, he abused him and attacked his father several times with the axe, causing bleeding. He got soaked and fell on the ground. After falling on the ground, the son crushed the father’s head with a stone, due to which he died on the spot.

Additional Superintendent of Police, who arrived on information, interrogated the villagers and took information about the incident. Villagers told that Akhilesh Sahu was an alcohol addict. Due to his alcohol addiction, his wife left him ten years ago and went to her maternal home. He used to demand money from his father every day for liquor. Due to the death of the head of the household, the family is now facing a crisis of livelihood.
