In the second case, 25 pav Sholay country liquor plane, capacity 180 ml, total quantity 4.500 bulk litre, market price Rs 2250 was recovered from the possession of Mahasamund resident Mithun Behera, aged 41 years, from the water tank near the bus stand Mahasamund. After investigation, the liquor was recovered. Excise was duly seized and a case was registered against the said accused under Section 34(1)(b) of the Excise Act 1915.
In this way, a total of 13.68 bulk liters of Sholay country liquor with market value of Rs 6840 was seized.
