New Delhi: Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Madani has said something big about Muslim weddings. He said that we will not allow any wedding in which there will be DJ and excessive expenditure will be made. He said that the government should make a law because weddings with so much pomp and show make fun of the poor.

Any wedding in which the environment will not be taken care of. Any wedding in which the poverty of the poor will be made fun of. We will not allow that wedding to happen. The poor are not getting proper drinking water and you spend so much on weddings. What kind of a country do you want to build?

He said, this is a matter of society. You and the entire society should do this work together. Society should not be allowed to go on the wrong path. Everyone should sit up and worry. In this program, Mahmood Madani praised gangster turned politician Mukhtar Ansari. He said that Mukhtar was the messiah of the poor. Madani said, you go and find out. A large number of non-Muslims were with him. He was a man of the poor. Maulana Madani said that one has to talk about the good work of someone.
