Was selling liquor near Chhattisgarh Dhaba, smuggler carrying a bag arrested

Kurud. Police has arrested the accused who was selling liquor illegally. Police had received information from an informer that a person was selling liquor by keeping it in his motorcycle near Chattisgarh Dhaba. Upon receiving the information, Kurud police along with staff immediately reached there and found that the person was selling liquor sitting on a Hero motorcycle no. OD-23-N-4368 near Chattisgarh Dhaba. When he was caught and asked his name and address, he told his name as Baljeet Singh son of late Harcharan Singh, age 22 years, resident of present address Megha.
Inside a blue coloured backpack on the motorcycle, 37 quarters of desi masala liquor, each containing 180 ml, worth Rs. 3700, sale amount Rs. 500 and Hero motorcycle worth Rs. 40,000, one Apple mobile worth Rs. 25,000. A total amount of Rs. 69,200/- was seized in presence of witnesses and a case number 146/25 under section 34 (2) of the Excise Act was registered against the accused at Kurud Police Station and the accused Baljeet Singh was duly arrested and sent on judicial remand. In this action, Inspector Ishwar Sakar, R. Suraj Devdas, Gopal Chandrakar from Kurud Police Station made a special contribution.
