Was selling intoxicating tablets near the crematorium, accused arrested

Raipur. Tikrapara police station received information from an informer that a person named Vicky was selling intoxicating tablets illegally near the Boriyakhurd cremation ground located under the Tikrapara police station. On this information, the senior officers were informed by the police station in-charge. The incident was reported by Superintendent of Police K.R. Taking it seriously, Thakur directed Additional Superintendent of Police West Jaiprakash Carpenter, City Superintendent of Police Purani Basti Rajesh Chaudhary and Police Station Incharge Inspector Durgesh Raote Tikrapara to trace the accused and arrest him as soon as possible.

On which, under the direction of senior officers, the station in-charge sub-inspector Dhirendra Banjare, assistant sub-inspector Atulesh Rai, constable 2275 Ashwan Sahu, 2035 Ravindra Singh, 1761 Arun Kumar Dhruv, 2397 Devchand Sinha, 1766 Visheeram Pisda and cyber cell constable 306 Bhupendra Mishra. Prepared a joint team of 2544 Kamal Dhangar and left for the spot to verify the information received by the team members and for raid action, where the accused Sheikh Ahzar alias Vicky, father of Sheikh Akram, age 28 years, resident of Kashiram Nagar Masjid, near police station Telibandha Raipur Chhattisgarh. 320 pieces of illegal narcotic tablets worth Rs 2,256/- were seized from his possession and crime number 707/23 Section 22C NDPS Act was registered against the accused and taken up for investigation.
