Waring apologised to Takht for his remarks
Punjab: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today tendered an apology for his remarks against Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh. Warring wrote that if he has knowingly or unknowingly hurt the dignity of the great Sikh institution, he bows his head and apologises. A few days ago, Warring had alleged that declaring Akal Takht chief Sukhbir Badal as tankhaiya (guilty of religious misconduct) and barring him from contesting the four by-polls on November 13 was a scripted story. The Jathedar termed it as a derogatory and misleading statement against the Akal Takht, which is a symbol of Miri-Piri. Warring was later asked to apologise, failing which strict action would be taken against him for speaking against the sanctity of the Akal Takht.
