Wanted criminal Virendra Singh Tomar’s aides will also be arrested.

Raipur. Virendra Singh Tomar alias Ruby, an accused absconding for six months, has been arrested. Virendra Tomar alias Ruby and Rohit Singh Tomar, accused in cases No. 332/2025 of Telibandha police station under sections 296, 115(2), 351(2), 3(5) of the IPC, Crime No. 229/25 of Purani Basti police station under section 25 of the Arms Act, and Crime No. 230/25 of Section 308(2), 111(1) of the IPC, Section 4 of the Chhattisgarh Protection of Debtors Act, have been absconding since the incident.

The Raipur police team has been continuously investigating and attempting to locate the two absconding brothers. The accused were not using any devices and were frequently changing their locations. Under the direction of senior officers, special teams were formed and sent to Rajasthan, Haryana, and Gwalior to trace the accused.

The team members were gathering information about the accused and trying to locate them. During this time, the team members located the accused Virendra Tomar alias Ruby in Gwalior, conducted a recce, and arrested him. The SSP had announced a cash reward for the arrest of both the accused brothers. The process of identifying the properties of the accused and initiating attachment proceedings is underway. The arrested accused Virendra Singh Tomar is being questioned in detail. Continuous efforts are being made to trace the absconding accused Rohit Tomar and arrest him.
