Voting teams left to complete the voting process

Raigarh. According to the election program released by the Chhattisgarh State Election, voting is to be held in the urban bodies of the district on 11 February 2025. For which the polling parties left for their polling stations today.

On the occasion, Additional Collector and Deputy District Election Officer Ravi Rahi, Additional SP Akash Markam, City Superintendent of Police Akash Shukla, Joint Collector Rakesh Kumar Golchha, SDM Praveen Tiwari, Deputy Collector Rekha Chandra, Deputy Collector and Nodal Officer Election Sameer Bada along with officers and employees engaged in election work were present. The voting process is to be completed in 7 urban bodies of Raigarh district on 11 February 2025 from 8 am to 5 pm. For which the polling parties left for their respective polling stations today after reaching Strong today and receiving the polling material. 172 polling stations have been set up in Raigarh Municipal Corporation for voting. Similarly, 18 polling stations have been set up in Kharsia Municipal Council, 15-15 in Gharghoda, Lalunga, Dharamjaigarh, Pusaur and Kirodimal Nagar Panchayat. In this way, voting will be conducted in urban bodies through EVMs in a total of 265 polling stations. For which 606 CUs and 954 BUs are available in the district. 265 CUs and 286 BUs are required for 265 polling stations of a total of 141 wards of Municipal Corporation, Municipal Council and all Nagar Panchayats. In this case 584 CUs and 655 BUs have been made available including reserves. More than one BU will be used in 6 wards of Municipal Corporation Raigarh, which include wards number 24, 25, 36, 40, 42 and 47 due to large number of candidates for the post of councilors.
