VK will get more seats in the DMK alliance: SS Balaji

Tamil Nadu: S.S. Balaji, the party’s Deputy General Secretary and member of the Thirupporur Assembly constituency, said that the DMK would seek more seats for the VVIP (Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi) in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

The party’s general meeting, held on Tuesday at H. Echambadi near Harur in Dharmapuri district, was presided over by C.K. Chakan Sharma, the district secretary of the Harur Assembly constituency. M.S. Moovendhan, the Harur (North) Union Secretary, welcomed the gathering. VCK Deputy General Secretary S.S. Balaji participated in the meeting and delivered a speech.

Earlier, he told reporters: “During the last Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi was allotted six seats. In the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, we will demand more seats for the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi within the DMK alliance.

We will strive to win the Harur (reserved) Assembly constituency in Dharmapuri district for the VCK.

The DMK-led government has implemented several welfare schemes for the development of women, including hostels for women, free bus travel for women, and women’s rights. He said that Tamil Nadu is the safest state for women.

At that time, the party’s State Secretary for Ideological Outreach P.M. Nandan, Dharmapuri Regional Secretary K. Janakiraman, and others were present.
