Odisha: A man was allegedly beaten to death on Friday in the Balipatna area on the outskirts of Odisha’s capital, Bhubaneswar. The incident occurred in Bengabati village, which falls under the Balipatna police jurisdiction, creating tension in the entire area.
According to police, the incident occurred following a dispute between two friends. Preliminary information suggests that an argument between the two escalated into a violent fight. During this time, one man, enraged, attacked his friend with an iron rod.
The victim suffered serious head injuries in the attack. With the help of local residents, he was immediately rushed to a hospital in Bhubaneswar for treatment, where doctors tried to revive him. However, he died during treatment.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Balipatna police arrived at the scene and began investigating the case. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused. The identities of both the deceased and the accused have not been released, while the police are investigating the matter further.

A day before this incident, a violent incident occurred in the Balianta area near the capital, Bhubaneswar, in which a young man was beaten to death by a mob. It was reported that the young man was accused of attempting to sexually assault two women, after which the mob attacked him.
