Vinay urges Centre to develop Railway Stadium in Warangal
Hanamkonda: Former chief whip Daasyam Vinay Bhaskar, along with MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra and BRS leaders from Kazipet, met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav at his office on Tuesday over the establishment of a coach factory, creation of a railway division and other issues. They submitted a memorandum with several demands.
During the discussion, Vinay Bhaskar highlighted that the dream of the people of Telangana, who struggled for a separate state for 60 years, and the recent green signal for setting up a coach factory – pending for 40 years – has finally fulfilled the aspirations of the people of the erstwhile Warangal district.
He mentioned that petitions for a coach factory were submitted to the Srikrishna Committee during the Telangana movement. He recalled how earlier CM KCR, through persistent efforts in collaboration with MPs, ensured inclusion of a coach factory, a tribal university and the Bayyaram steel factory in the division act. Vinay Bhaskar explained in detail how the coach factory, which belonged to Kazipet, was shifted to another state and gave details of the protests and collective efforts for its establishment.
He reminded that the KCR government had allotted land to the Centre for the coach factory. Additionally, he urged for speedy upgradation of Kazipet junction to divisional level, allocation of trains to halt at Kazipet, increasing platforms and more budget allocation.
He demanded steps for the development of the railway stadium in Warangal and expressed gratitude for the announcement of the coach factory, welcoming the decision and stressing the need to expedite the establishment of both the coach factory and the railway division, with 60% of the jobs being allotted to locals and apprenticeship opportunities being provided to Kazipet ITI students.
Vinay Bhaskar also demanded vending zones for small traders, a foot overbridge at Bodagutta and speedy completion of Fatima Bridge by the railway authorities.
