Villupuram: Child dies in septic tank, bail of three cancelled
Tamil Nadu: The Villupuram District Chief Sessions Court has ordered the cancellation of bail plea of three people arrested in the case of the death of a child after falling into a septic tank. The court rejected the bail plea filed by the arrested school principal, principal and class teacher.
A 3-year-old child died after falling into a septic tank in a private school located in Villupuram district’s Vikravandi. He had gone to the toilet to defecate, when the toilet lid broke and he fell inside. The child was rescued and taken to the nearby Mundiambakkam Government Hospital. However, doctors declared the child dead.
The school principal, principal and class teacher were arrested for negligence in this case. They filed a petition in the court for bail. Judge Manimozhi, who heard the case today (January 8), had said that he would pronounce the verdict in the evening. Accordingly, he rejected the bail plea of the three in the evening.
