Villagers agitated over breaking the old roof of Ganesh temple, protested fiercely

Dantewada. Controversy is going on these days on the construction work of Ganesh temple in Barsur, famous as tourist city. In this Yugal Ganesh temple, a new roof is being constructed by demolishing the old roof, but the local people have come out against this construction. The construction work has been stopped after protests by the local people.

In fact, a tin shed is being installed for the couple Ganesh by breaking the pucca roof. The locals say that they will not allow this to happen. People have told this construction work against grandeur and public sentiments. ASI employees had also reached Barsoor to explain to the villagers, but they did not work in front of the local people and they returned back empty-handed.
