Vijayawada: Minister launches waste management app

Vijayawada: Environment and Mines Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Friday launched four applications online for waste management at AP Environment Management Corporation Limited. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has created the Environment Management Corporation (AP) for the management of waste and protection of the environment. The corporation will be in charge of managing waste from critical sectors like industries, hospitals, thermal centrals and water processing units. The recently developed application will help APEMCL employees to interact with the industrial administration for safe disposal of waste and protecting the environment. The applications will also help in tracking vehicles for garbage removal. The minister said the applications will help incinerators track and collect samples and process the waste. Provided that APEMCL shall coordinate with the management of the companies in the entire process of disposal and processing of waste. Ramachandra Reddy said the income from waste management would be spent on environmental protection. Let us inform that APEMCL has taken the initiative to regulate electronic waste, organic waste, air and water pollutants to take necessary measures to prevent pollution.
