Vidhansabha General Election 2023 Common citizens will be made aware of the functioning of EVM VVPAT

In view of the upcoming assembly general elections 2023, as per the instructions of the Election Commission, common citizens will be made aware of the working of EVMs and VVPATs.
Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer and Nodal Officer SVEEP Mr. Muhammad Junaid has sent a letter to all Electoral Registration Officers and SDMs of the district directing them to give information about EVMs and VVPATs as per the instructions of the Election Commission. He told that according to the instructions of the Election Department, MDV is to be run in each phase to create awareness about the working of EVMs and VVPATs.
He informed that adequate number of training awareness EVMs, VVPATs have been made available. Information about the process of voting through VVPAT with EVM and other important points is to be provided to first time voters, common citizens, press media, political parties, intellectuals, PWD, 80 plus. In the context of EVM, VVPAT campaign, dummy symbols have been set by the Election Commission of India. Only ballot papers with dummy symbols should be used during campaigning.
After selecting sufficient number of resource persons for awareness work, the process of training them in every aspect of EVM and VVPAT should be started from now and prepare such resource persons for the awareness programme. The EVM VVPAT used for awareness must have a yellow sticker on it. EVM, VVPAT will be available for awareness. Along with this, information will be given by showing a short film through the LED screen. Under EVM, VVPAT awareness, it should be ensured that no polling station in the assembly constituency is left out and no voter is deprived of it.
