Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit: PM Modi welcomed UAE President Al Nahyan on reaching Ahmedabad
Gandhinagar: UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Tuesday evening to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed him at the airport and the two will hold a road show in the city today. UAE President
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra and other officials were present at the airport for the welcome. The UAE President was given a ceremonial guard of honor upon his arrival. Apart from the President of the UAE, other world leaders including Timor Leste President Jose Ramos-Horta are participating in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.
PM Modi arrived in Ahmedabad on Monday on a two-day visit to inaugurate the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 at the Mahatma Mandir in Gujarat. On reaching Gujarat, PM Modi said in a post shared on Twitter, “I landed in Ahmedabad a while back. Will participate in Vibrant Gujarat Summit and related programs in the next two days.
It is a matter of great pleasure.” That many world leaders will join us during this summit. The arrival of my brother Mohammed bin Zayed is very special. I have a very close association with the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and I am glad to see how this platform has contributed to Gujarat’s development and created opportunities for many people.” The Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit was started in 2003 under the leadership of Modi when he was the Chief Minister of the state. The tenth edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is being held in Gandhinagar from January 10-12.
There are 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations for this year’s summit. Additionally, the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region will use the Vibrant Gujarat platform to showcase investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions. The summit will host various events including seminars and conferences on globally relevant topics such as Industry 4.0, technology and innovation, sustainable manufacturing, green hydrogen, electric mobility and transition towards renewable energy and sustainability.
In the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show, companies are displaying products made with world-class cutting-edge technology. E-mobility, start-ups, MSME, blue economy, green energy and smart infrastructure are some of the focus sectors of the trade show.
