Vehicle full of illegal paddy caught, Tehsildar took action on inspection

Mahasamund. On the instructions of Collector Prabhat Malik, continuous action is being taken against illegal transportation of paddy from the bordering state of Odisha in the district. Late on Thursday night, during a surprise inspection by Tehsildar Mamta Thakur, 350 bags of paddy were found being illegally transported in front of the police station in village Bhilaidadar.

The paddy along with the vehicle was confiscated and handed over to the police station. He told that at night a cart full of paddy was being brought from Odisha to village Litiyadadar under Bagbahra development block of Chhattisgarh. It is noteworthy that 24-hour monitoring is being done through the inter-state check post along the Odisha border. He said that strict action is being taken against illegal transportation and storage of paddy. Which will continue further also.
