Vegetable seed kits will be distributed free of cost to farmers under Rajasthan Horticulture Development Mission

Vegetable seed kits will be distributed free of cost to the farmers under the Rajasthan Horticulture Development Mission under the budget announcement of the year 2023 by Shri Ashok Gehlot. Deputy Director of Horticulture Department Mr. Nand Bihari Malav said that under this mission Baran district was given combo vegetable seed kit (tinda, okra, chilli, guar, bottle gourd) 10000 and single vegetable seed kit tomato 1000, brinjal for kharif from Horticulture Commissionerate. 2000 and gourd 500 have been allotted, as per the departmental guidelines, the farmers of Baran district will be provided free of cost vegetable seed kit per combo 0.01 hectare (100 square meter) and single vegetable seed kit for sowing in 0.05 hectare (500 square meter) area.
Vegetable seed kits will be distributed to small, marginal, scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, women and farmers living below the poverty line. Along with this, it will be necessary to benefit at least 30 per cent women, category-wise, of the total number of vegetable seed kits.
