Uttarakhand: CM Dhami gave this big gift in Jaunpur Mahotsav
Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday. He reached Gadhet Nainbagh Tehri Garhwal and participated in the Jaunpur Sports and Cultural Development Festival. The committee warmly welcomed the Prime Minister and honored him by wearing a coat and cap.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that construction of 6 km highway from Dwargarh to Hingoti Bhadraraj Temple, 4 km highway from Aglad-Tathur Highway, 10 km to Thakkar Kudaun, Swel Chak through Khas Kudaun and construction of a permanent helipad. The announcement of declaring the Vikas Mahotsav as a state fair was made by the Sports and Culture Department Jaunpur at Gharkhet.
Welcoming everyone, the Prime Minister said that he is happy to be at the festival. This festival also advocates sports, development, preservation of culture and folk traditions and their transmission from one generation to another. He said that on National Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had talked about preserving the culture, dialect, language and heritage of our ancestors, on which the state government is working. He said: Fairs not only promote a sense of love, affection and belongingness, but also play an important role in strategic and social fields. The rich culture of Uttarakhand is our core identity. Our migrant brothers and sisters across the seven seas try to keep their culture alive.
The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand Sahitya Gaurav Samman will be awarded by the state government for the creation and promotion of literature in dialect languages. A film policy was formulated to promote various local languages and allocate funds for subsequent production. Reconstruction work is underway to give a grand look to cultural and religious places. Traditional sports of Uttarakhand will be promoted. Work is underway to stop migration and promote overall development. Apart from employment generation in the government sector, self-employment is also encouraged through activities like dairy, livestock, agriculture, horticulture, homestay etc. Today, the demand for products of women’s groups is increasing significantly in the country and abroad.
By giving recognition to traditional products, the quality products of the Khaneh Himalaya brand are known not only in the country but also at the national and international level. Uttarakhand Lakhpati has seen more than 100,000 women and the target of 1.25 million will be achieved soon. Interest-free loans of up to Rs 300,000 will be made available to farmers. The state has enacted strict laws to deal with plagiarism. 19,000 jobs have been created in the public sector in the last three and a half years.
The Prime Minister said that such events have strengthened our national culture. He also praised the efforts of the organisers who have done great work in preserving our cultural heritage and passing it on to new generations. He said the government is committed to bringing in strict land laws and its proposals will be considered at the executive level. A land law will soon be drafted to deal strictly with people who acquire land illegally in Uttarakhand.
