Used to place online betting from mobile, police arrested
Korba. CSEB outpost and cyber cell in Korba have taken action against Sanket Aggarwal (30 years), resident of TP Nagar Patidar Bhawan. Police has arrested Sanket Aggarwal while playing betting. A Samsung company mobile has been seized from Sanket. Action was taken against the youth under the Gambling/Betting Act. According to the information, the police had taken action against the players in three betting cases some time back. On the basis of the people arrested there, Cyber Cell and CSEB outpost Korba got information that Sanket Aggarwal of TP Nagar Korba was playing gambling and betting by betting money online on his mobile in front of Daduram Hardware shop.
After verifying the matter by the informer, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Neha Verma, City Superintendent of Police Mr. Korba Bhushan Ekka, the incident site was surrounded in front of TP Nagar Korba Daduram Hardware Shop. A person was found in front of Daduram Hardware, who when asked about his name told him that his name was Sanket Aggarwal. The police checked the mobile phone of a Samsung company present near Sanket. In which he was found playing betting by creating an online betting ID called Live Bookie and placing bets worth Rs. When Sanket Aggarwal was questioned in this regard, he admitted to playing betting.
