Uruguay coach Pezzolano parted ways with Brazilian club Cruzeiro
Rio de Janeiro| Uruguayan Paulo Pezzolano has parted ways with Brazilian club Cruzeiro in less than 15 months. The 39-year-old has confirmed he is leaving the club after Cruzeiro lost 2-1 at América Mineiro on Sunday, reports Xinhua. Due to the defeat, Belo Horizonte’s team was eliminated from the Mineiro Championship.
To be honest, I didn’t give 100 percent,” Pezzolano told reporters. A big club like Cruzeiro needs a coach who is at 1000 percent.
In a subsequent social media post, he said, “I promise the fans that if I manage anywhere else this year, it won’t be in Brazil.” Under Pezzolano’s leadership, Cruzeiro has recorded 38 wins, 13 draws and 17 losses.
