Urla police nabbed a criminal in Kailash Nagar

Raipur. As part of the ongoing police campaign against anti-social elements and illegal weapons, Urla Police Station has achieved a significant success. Accused Toran Verma was arrested for brandishing a knife. In accordance with the instructions of the Inspector General of Police, Raipur Zone, Senior Superintendent of Police, Raipur, and under the guidance of the Superintendent of Police (City) and Additional Superintendent of Police, intensive checking and patrolling is being conducted in the Urla Police Station area. Meanwhile, on January 1, information was received that a man was intimidating people by brandishing a weapon at the public Kailash Nagar Jhanda Chowk.
Acting promptly, Urla Police Station, led by Sub-Inspector Chandravanshi, arrived at the scene, surrounded and apprehended the accused Toran Verma. A 14-inch knife was recovered from the accused’s possession, which was seized after a formal Panchnama was prepared on the spot.
A case has been registered against the accused under Crime No. 02/26, Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act, and he has been arrested. Legal action is being taken against the accused, and investigations are ongoing regarding the source of the weapon. Raipur Police appeals to the public to immediately report any information related to illegal activity or weapons to the police. The identity of the informant will be kept strictly confidential.
