UP government extends help to Nepal, issues several helpline numbers

Lucknow: The situation in Nepal has been deteriorating since the past two days. Starting from Kathmandu to small settlements, the protests of GenZ protesters have turned violent.
The situation is getting worse with each passing day. The impact of instability in Nepal is starting to affect the districts bordering Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, high alert has been issued in Bahraich, Shravasti, Laxmipur and Maharajganj on the Nepal border.
The districts bordering Nepal are always sensitive due to trade, education and daily markets. For this, the Uttar Pradesh Yogi government has imposed a strict crackdown on the border.
Seeing the seriousness of the situation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed DGP Rajiv Krishna. He has asked to deploy additional police force in all the related districts along the Nepal border along with a 24-hour police alert.
He has asked the security agencies on the border to be alert. The soldiers are on alert in the border areas. Immediate action shall be taken on any suspicious movement. Drone surveillance is being carried out.
Meanwhile, a large number of Indian citizens are stranded in Nepal. Traders, students, pilgrims and tourists are included. A control room has been opened at the UP Police Headquarters in Lucknow for their safety and return. This control room is open 24 hours a day. Helpline numbers and WhatsApp numbers have been issued.

Yogi Adityanath is constantly keeping himself informed regarding Nepal. Indifference at any level will not be tolerated in the border districts. Therefore, the district magistrate and the police superintendent have been put on high alert. The Chief Minister has directed that all possible assistance will be provided to all Indian citizens stranded in Nepal.
