Union Minister Piyush Goyal offers prayers at Srirangam Temple

Tamil Nadu: Union Minister Piyush Goyal visited the famous Srirangam Arulmigu Aranganatha Swamy Temple in Trichy. Heavy police security was deployed inside and around the Srirangam Temple.

Voting for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections is scheduled for April 23rd, and Piyush Goyal is currently camping in Tamil Nadu to campaign in support of the AIADMK-led BJP-led National Democratic Alliance. In this connection, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, who is campaigning for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, participated in the ‘Vishwaroop Darshan’ event, one of the first pujas held at the famous Srirangam Arulmigu Aranganatha Swamy Temple on Monday morning and had darshan of Lord Aranganatha.

The temple administration and officials welcomed him at the entrance and made necessary arrangements for his darshan.

After completing the puja, Piyush Goyal briefly interacted with the temple priest and then left. Heavy police security was deployed in and around the temple complex in anticipation of Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s visit. Meanwhile, a large number of devotees had gathered to witness the ‘Vishwaroopa Darshan’, one of the first daily pujas performed at the temple.

Union Minister and Tamil Nadu BJP election in-charge Piyush Goyal participated in the ‘Salai Valam’ organised in support of BJP candidate Karpu M. Muruganantham in Thanjavur on Sunday.

At the time, he praised Muruganantham as a dedicated public servant and called him “a true son of the soil who has dedicated his entire life to social service.”
