Unaccounted money seized: Actor Manikandan suspended

Kerala: Motor Vehicles Department official and actor K. Manikandan has been suspended. The action comes after Rs 1.90 lakh was seized from a rented house in Ottapalam. The raid was conducted after the Kozhikode Vigilance Special Cell registered an FIR for amassing assets disproportionate to his income. Manikandan is originally a resident of Cheruvathur, Kasargod and is an Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector at the Ottapalam Sub-Regional Transport Office. Manikandan was suspended pending investigation after the inspection report was submitted to the court. He has acted in several films including Aad 2, Janakijane, Anchapathira, etc.
