UN chief calls for ceasefire in Gaza-Sudan during Ramadan

United Nations: UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for a ceasefire in Gaza and Sudan during Ramadan. It is noteworthy that during Ramadan, Muslims around the world celebrate and spread the values of peace, reconciliation and solidarity. The UN Chief said, yet killing, bombing and bloodshed continue in Gaza. According to Xinhua news agency, the UN Secretary General said, during his tenure, there was massive killing and destruction of civilians in the world. He warned that the threat of an Israeli attack on Rafah could make life even more difficult for the people of Gaza. Guterres also called for an end to the conflict in Sudan during Ramadan. “The people of Sudan are facing countless hardships because of the conflict,” he said.
