UKPSC paper leak case: SIT arrests former BJP leader Sanjay Dhariwal with Rs 50,000 reward

Haridwar (IANS) | The SIT has finally arrested former BJP leader Sanjay Dhariwal, who was absconding with a reward of Rs 50,000 in the paper leak case. Four and a half lakh cash and two blank checks have been recovered from his possession.

Sanjay Dhariwal, head of Mohammadpur village of Narsan and former Mangalore Mandal President of BJP, was continuously absconding from the grip of SIT in connection with the paper leak of Patwari and JE AE recruitment examination of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. IG Garhwal Karan Singh Nagnyal had declared a reward of 50 thousand on his arrest.

At the same time, the action of Munadi had been executed before the SIT Kurki. While an application for attachment had also been given in the court. Attachment action was to be taken any day after getting the green signal from the court. On the other hand, a team of SIT was desperately searching for Sanjay Dhariwal. On receiving information from the informer, the SIT team arrested Sanjay Dhariwal from Narsan area.

Giving information about this, SSP Ajay Singh said that on the pointers of Sanjay Dhariwal, the vehicle HR 75-5692 used to bring the candidates to the copying sites and to the examination centers was recovered from the house in Mohammadpur Jatt Haridwar. While a total of Rs 4.25 lakh and two black checks have been recovered from Sanjay Dhariwal’s brother Sudhir’s house in Karnal, Haryana.

Out of this amount, one lakh ten thousand rupees for Patwari recruitment and three lakh fifteen thousand rupees and both the checks were taken from the students related to AE / JE recruitment. Accused’s brother Sudhir and sister’s son-in-law Dipendra Panwar alias Sonu resident of Mukandarpur police station Gadarpur district Udham Singh Nagar (coaching director) have already been arrested. A total of 38 accused have been arrested till date in both the prosecutions, Patwari and JEE. The investigation is still going on.
