Ugadi Festival: Governor and Chief Minister Extend Greetings

Tamil Nadu: On the occasion of Ugadi, Tamil Nadu Governor (in-charge) R.V.R. Lekhar and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin have extended their greetings.

Governor R.V.R. Lekhar: I convey my heartfelt greetings to my brothers and sisters residing in Tamil Nadu, as well as to the people across the entire nation, on the auspicious occasions of Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Vasant Navratri, and Cheti Chand. These festivals reflect our country’s rich cultural heritage and ancient traditions, and foster peace, prosperity, and harmony within society. May these festivals bring happiness, good health, and prosperity to everyone.

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin: Heartfelt greetings to all Telugu and Kannada-speaking people celebrating the festival of Ugadi. Ever since the government declared a holiday for Ugadi in Tamil Nadu, the DMK government has consistently stood as the protector of linguistic minorities residing in the state.

Ugadi greetings to all those Telugu and Kannada-speaking people who celebrate this festival with immense joy and enthusiasm, marked by a feast featuring the colorful and delicious ‘Pachadi’. May this Ugadi also herald the beginning of the DMK 2.0 government, which is set to be formed next May.
