Two women killed after falling from moving train in Odisha’s Ganjam

Berhampur: Two women tragically lost their lives after they fell from a moving train at Surla Road railway station in Ganjam district of Odisha on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Parvati Gouda and Jhunu Gouda. Both of them were residents of Jagannathpur village under Chikiti block in the district. As per sources, they were working as cooks in the Jagannathpur school.

Sources revealed that they were heading to an ongoing rally in of Pachika Sangha in Bhubaneswar when this mishap took place. They tried to board the Palasa-Cuttack DMU train at Surla Road railway station. However, one of them fell from the moving train while trying to board the vehicle and the other women also slipped while rescuing her. Both of them eventually died after being crossed by the moving train.
