Two miscreants arrested in encounter with police

Muzaffarnagar: In an encounter between Titavi police and miscreants of Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday, one miscreant was arrested in injured condition after being shot, while his other accomplice was caught in a combing operation after fleeing from the spot. . Police said that during checking at Titavi Police Station Kalkhedi Link Road, two persons were seen coming on a motorcycle. They were signaled to stop, but the motorcyclists did not stop. They started running faster.
When the police team chased them, the person sitting behind on the motorcycle opened fire on the police team. After reaching some distance, the miscreants’ motorcycle went out of control and fell. In the retaliatory action taken by the police, a criminal Mohammad Tariq was injured by bullet. The second miscreant fled from the spot. During the combing, another criminal Azim alias Goli was also arrested. One pistol 315 bore, one shell and two live cartridges (315 bore) have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Cases of robbery and theft are registered against the accused in different police stations. Police are investigating the criminal history of the accused.
