Two-day administrative conference begins under the chairmanship of CM Vijay

Tamil Nadu: A two-day administrative conference, chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, began on Monday, with senior officers from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS) participating. The conference, organized to discuss various important issues related to state administration, aims to improve governance and review the implementation of government schemes.

The conference is being held in three separate sessions. The first session was attended by district collectors and senior police officers from various districts across the state. The status of administrative work in the districts, measures to maintain law and order, and various public issues were discussed in detail.

The meeting reviewed the current law and order situation in the state. Officials presented reports from their respective districts and detailed the steps being taken to strengthen security. Crime control, public safety, and administrative coordination were also among the topics discussed.

The conference specifically focused on the state government’s “Drug-Free Tamil Nadu” campaign. Officials were briefed on the progress of drug prevention campaigns. Discussions were also held on keeping youth away from drugs, curbing illicit trafficking, and ensuring better coordination between relevant departments.

The meeting also reviewed various development works and ongoing projects in the state. Progress on infrastructure, public services, and other development projects was assessed. Suggestions were also sought from officials regarding the timely completion and effective implementation of projects.

An important topic of the conference was the effectiveness of the state government’s welfare schemes reaching the general public. Timely delivery of assistance to beneficiaries, challenges faced in implementation, and measures to overcome them were discussed. Officials were urged to ensure that every eligible person receives the benefits of government schemes without any obstacles.

The two-day conference also discussed enhancing coordination between various departments, making the administrative system more accountable, and developing better working systems in the districts. In various sessions, senior officials are sharing their experiences and presenting suggestions for administrative reforms.

The remaining sessions of the conference will also discuss various administrative and development issues in detail. Officials have been asked to present their districts’ key challenges, achievements, and future action plans to make governance more effective.

After the completion of all three sessions of this two-day conference, Chief Minister Vijay will address the officials on the final day. During this, he will issue necessary guidelines regarding the state administration’s priorities, development work, law and order, public welfare schemes, and future action plans. It is expected that based on these guidelines, various departments will finalize their action plans for the coming months and administrative work will be carried forward in accordance with the state government’s priorities.
