Two CRPF jawans from Assam were injured in an IED blast in Jharkhand

Bajali: A CRPF jawan from New Belona in Assam’s Bajali district was injured in an IED explosion during a Maoist attack in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand, early Monday.

The blast occurred while the personnel were on an anti-Maoist operation.

Narayan Das is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jharkhand.

Another Assam jawan, Alok Das, was also injured in the incident.

Both injured personnel belong to the Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), an elite unit of the CRPF.

Authorities are investigating the attack and assessing the situation further.
