Two children went to the river with maternal uncle, both died due to drowning
Bilaspur. Two children died due to drowning in Arpa river in Bilaspur. The children had gone to bathe with their maternal uncle. During this, his maternal uncle made him sit on the bank of the river and went some distance away. Then a child entered the river and started drowning, to save whom a 13-year-old girl entered the river and both got immersed in the depth. The incident is of Kota police station area.
Luv Kumar Sahu (21), a resident of Laripara village, was going to the Arpa river to take a bath on Saturday. During this, along with his six-year-old nephew Devendra Sahu and his elder brother Lakshya Sahu, along with Bua’s daughter Poonam Sahu (13) also went to bathe. Luv Sahu made all the three children sit on the bank of the river and went some distance to defecate. That’s why Devendra started getting into the water on the banks of the river and went deep. Seeing him drowning, Poonam ran to save him. When she entered the river, the depth was high, due to which both drowned.
According to the police, Devendra Sahu, a resident of village Samdil of Takhatpur area, has his in-laws’ house at Laripara in Kota. Due to summer vacation in schools, his two sons Devendra Sahu and Lakshya Sahu had come to the maternal uncle’s village. At the same time, Poonam Sahu, a resident of village Bardwar, had also gone to her maternal uncle’s village on leave.
