Two children drown while taking bath in Achenkovil River

PATHANAMTHITTA: Two children drowned while taking bath in the Achenkovil River. The dead have been identified as Abhiraj and Rishi Ajith of Vettoor. One caught in the current was rescued. A group of seven children went to bathe in the river after playing football.

The locals who reached the spot knowing the accident conducted a search but could not find the two. Later the scuba team found the two and pulled them out of the water. They were rushed to the hospital but could not save them. The bodies are kept at Pathanamthitta General Hospital.
