Two accused arrested for passing gold chain from elderly woman’s neck

Pandaria. The police have arrested two accused who crossed the gold chain from the neck of an elderly woman and sent them to jail. Both the accused took the lonely elderly woman walking on the road on the pretext of asking her the way. After this, as soon as she got a chance, she removed the gold chain from her neck and fled. The elderly woman had lodged a complaint with the police.

According to the police, “Jhunia Bai’s husband Jairam Chandravanshi age 55 years had written the report by presenting a written application to the Pandatarai police station. On April 28, 2023, around 12 noon, Jhunia Bai was coming home from the farm with a load of Kandi. Two motorcyclists approached the woman on Raveli Road between Harekrishna Talab and Narmada Jaggery Industry. Both asked the woman the way to go to Raveli. The woman was explaining the way to them when the bike riders looted the gold chain from her neck and fled via Mohgaon. Whose complaint was lodged with the police.” After the crime of robbery was registered, the police started searching for the unknown accused with the help of cyber cell. During this, the police got information from the informer that Sanju Sahu of Silhati village and Sanjay Kumar Banjare of Rahangi village of the police outpost Podi area are living in hiding after coming to their village. After which the police laid siege in both the villages. Both were taken into custody by forming a separate team.

Police took both the accused into custody and interrogated them. In which both confessed their crime. After this, the police seized 3 pieces of gold locket and the bike used in the incident from Sanju Sahu. On the other hand, the police have recovered 1 piece of gold locket from the other accused. Both the accused have been lodged in jail by the police.
