TTV Dhinakaran: AMMK lost 2019 elections due to lack of PM face
Madurai: “I firmly believe that AIADMK will achieve nothing in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, he said he did not know in what context ousted leader Sasikala had said that all AIADMK factions would merge and contest the elections. Dhinakaran, however, said he was confident of Edappadi not forging an alliance with Palaniswami for any reason.
He declined to comment on whether the BJP and AIADMK were still in alliance. “The reason for AMMK’s defeat in 2019 was that we had no PM face to seek votes. In 2024, AMMK will either form an alliance or we will contest the elections on our own,” he said, adding that his association with OPS was beyond politics.
