Truck collides with bus, 30 people injured

Chennai (IANS) | A truck rammed into a private bus in Tamil Nadu’s Sriperumbudur on Thursday. At least 30 people have been injured in this accident. The condition of the truck driver is critical. The 34-year-old driver, Madasamy, has been admitted to the ICU of Chengalpattu Government Hospital for treatment.

Police said the truck driver, Madasamy, lost control of the vehicle, and after hitting the diverter, the vehicle swerved to the other side and hit a private bus. The bus was carrying employees of a private company based in Sriperumbudur.

Following the accident, traffic on the Chennai-Bengaluru National Highway came to a standstill for over an hour. An FIR has been registered against the truck driver and the police is probing.
