Truck brutally crushes an elderly person walking on foot, creating chaos in the area

Janjgir-Champa. A speeding pickup crushed an elderly man walking on foot from behind on Khatola road in Janjgir-Champa district. The old man was dragged on the road for 100 meters. Due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, the driver fled leaving the vehicle. The incident took place in Akaltara police station area. According to the information, Chuhru Kanwar (65), resident of village Khatola, had gone to the market in village Bargwa on Wednesday to buy vegetables.

At around 8.30 pm, Khatola was going to his home on foot after taking vegetables from the market. Then the speeding elephant driver hit him from behind. His body remained buried under the vehicle. On receiving information about the incident, Akaltara police reached the spot. There is anger among the villagers and family members after this accident. Landed on the road and blocked the wheel. At present the police have calmed down the matter and started investigation.
