Troubles of tantrum IAS Pooja Khedkar’s mother increased, police took this big step

Mumbai: A few days after the mother of tantrum probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar was arrested, Pune Police has seized a pistol and three bullets from her house. It is alleged that she had allegedly used it to threaten some farmers of Maharashtra. On Thursday, Manorama Khedkar was arrested from Raigad district of Maharashtra. In the viral video, she is seen waving a gun and threatening some villagers over a land dispute.

In the footage, she can be seen having a heated argument with a farmer. She is demanding to show the land documents in her name. As the tension increased, she waved the gun in a threatening manner. Seeing the entire incident being captured on camera, she immediately hid it. A man named Vishal had made the video.

The 2023 batch IAS officer came into the limelight a few weeks ago when Pune Collector Suhas Divase wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik informing about the demands made by Pooja. She was not entitled to this during her probation. After this complaint, many revelations were made one after the other about Pooja Khedkar and her family.

Now questions were raised on how she passed the tough selection process of UPSC. It is alleged that she had submitted fake papers to avail the benefits of physical disability and OBC reservation. Now her two-year training has been stopped. Her selection in IAS is being investigated by a panel constituted by the Center.
