Tribute paid to martyred STF jawans, sent to their native village

Jagdalpur: Today, tribute was paid to both the jawans who were martyred in Bijapur district in the city’s police line. In the police line, Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap, Chitrakote MLA Vinayak Goyal, Mayor Safira Sahu, councilors, other public representatives, Commissioner Shyam Dhavade, IG Sundarraj P., Collector Vijay Dayaram K., Superintendent of Police Shalabh Sinha, Cobra Battalion, CRPF officers, martyr’s family and police department officers and jawans paid tribute to the martyred jawans by offering flowers. After paying tribute, the mortal remains of the martyred jawans were carried by the MP, MLA and other officials to their native village.

During the operation on 17 July at 10 pm, 2 STF jawans, constable Satter Singh resident of village Bamhni, Bakulwahi district Narayanpur and constable Bharat Lal Sahu, resident of Laxminagar Mowa district Raipur, were martyred in an IED explosion in the forests of Mandimarka in Thana Tarrem area. Apart from this, 4 jawans, Head Constable Purushottam Nag, Constable Sanjay Mandavi, Constable Komal Yadav, Constable Siyaram Shori have been injured. The treatment of the injured jawans is going on in Raipur and their condition is normal.
