Tribals protest against lack of basic facilities

Anakapalle: Wearing ada-leaf caps, carrying palanquins and some riding on horses, tribals of G Madugula mandal took out a rally. On the occasion of ‘International Day of the World’s Indigenous People’, tribals of Pasuvulabanda village in Jeelugula held a protest and said the day was not for celebrations but to consider their demands as they were deprived of basic amenities. They said for a long time they have been suffering from lack of basic amenities like health facilities, electricity supply, roads, drinking water and schools. The tribals said they would celebrate the day when the government would pay attention to their needs and fulfill them.
