Tribal minor gangraped in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga, condition critical, two arrested

Ranchi (IANS) | A tribal minor has been gang-raped in Kudu police station area of Lohardaga district. He has been admitted to RIMS located in Ranchi for treatment in a very critical condition. Meanwhile, the police have arrested two accused of gangrape.

The incident took place on Thursday late evening. In a village under Kudu police station area, the minor had gone to her uncle’s house for a marriage ceremony. Naseem Khan and Maqsood Pavaria had also reached here. Both somehow took the minor towards the farm at a distance of about 200 meters from the house and carried out the incident of gang rape.

She was treated so savagely that her condition became extremely critical. Both the accused had absconded after the incident. Meanwhile, somehow the family members of the minor came to know about the matter and they informed the Kudu police station. The Kudu police station arrested both the accused while raiding on Thursday night itself.

The minor was first brought to Kudu Community Health Center for treatment, from where he was sent to Sadar Hospital Lohardaga. First aid was done at Sadar Hospital Lohardaga. In view of his serious condition, he was referred to RIMS for better treatment.
