Trainee IPS raided the liquor shop, Mahua liquor was confiscated

Raigarh. Kharsia police, led by trainee IPS Harshit Maihar, carried out two operations against illegal liquor. Based on information received from the informer, the police team raided village Karranara Bargarh and arrested two accused and recovered 29 liters of Mahua liquor and utensils used for making liquor from their possession. A case has been registered against both the accused under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act at Kharsia police station and necessary action has been taken.
Assistant Sub Inspector Umashankar Dhrtant, Head Constable Mahendra Khare, Constable Satyanarayan Sidar, Constable Yogesh Sahu, Constable Yogendra Singh, and Lady Constable Gunavati Bhagat played an important role in this action. The police have appealed to the public to immediately inform if they have information about illegal liquor sale, so that such crimes can be effectively stopped. Based on the information, the police raided the house of accused Bablu Oraon and Ajay Oraon. During interrogation, both of them admitted to making and selling illegal liquor.
From the possession of accused Bablu Oraon (father late Punjabi Ram Oraon, age 40 years):
- 7 liters of Mahua liquor (worth ₹1400)
- 3 aluminum containers used in liquor manufacturing (worth ₹2000)
From the possession of accused Ajay Oraon (father late Ghasi Ram Oraon, age 25 years):
- 22 liters of Mahua liquor (worth ₹4400)
- 3 aluminum containers used in liquor manufacturing
