Traders take out march in anger due to increase in incidents of robbery in Tohana

Tohana. Today, traders took out a protest march against the increasing incidents of looting in Tohana city and reached the city police station and surrounded the police station. The traders raised slogans against the police administration and gave an ultimatum of seven days and warned them to stop the sorcery.

Police station in-charge Rampal came among the traders and assured them, after which people calmed down and removed the siege of the police station. Let us tell you that in the last 10 days, three major incidents of looting and firing at gunpoint have taken place in Tohana.

Traders of Tohana gathered in the market today and took out a protest march from here to Tohana police station. Here business leaders Rajendra Thakral, Ramkumar Saini etc. demanded police to increase patrolling, blockade and security arrangements in the area along the Punjab border.

Also giving an ultimatum, he said that if all the criminal elements are not caught within 7 days, then after 7 days all the business organizations and social organizations will together call for Tohana bandh.

He said that today traders are living under the shadow of fear. As the evening approaches, criminal elements are openly entering shops with knives and looting. B-13 restaurant is shot at twice in a year by the same gang. Traders said that the police say that the police are on constant patrol in Tohana.

Police is visible, but there is no fear of police among criminal type people. The station in-charge appealed to the people not to call Tohana Bandh, all the employees are in the field on duty.
