Trade unions will go on strike on February 12 in protest against the central government: Left, VVIP announce.

Tamil Nadu: Left and VVIP trade unions have called for a strike on February 12 to condemn the four anti-worker laws introduced by the central government and the all-out attack on people’s rights.

In a joint statement issued on Sunday, the Left and VVIP trade unions said: The BJP government at the Centre has introduced four anti-worker laws.

These laws have snatched away the rights of workers. Furthermore, workers are being employed on a contract basis. These four labor laws must be withdrawn.

The all-out attack on the rights of the people of the country must be stopped. The anti-people policies of the central government, which are plundering the country’s resources and promoting corporations and big businesses, must be stopped immediately.

It is reported that a general strike will be held on February 12, demanding the protection of the interests of workers, farmers, the poor, and the middle class.
