Toyota’s global sales rise for fifth consecutive month in May

Business Business: Toyota Motor’s global sales rose for the fifth consecutive month in May. According to the company, global sales in May rose 6.9% year-on-year to 898,721 vehicles, with particularly strong demand in North America, China and Japan contributing. Sales in the US rose nearly 11%. However, Toyota’s global vehicle production fell 0.7% in May, the first decline in five months. The decline was due to a reduction in working days in Japan.
